Our Story

In Memory of Louis & Mamie Ruth Morello

Louis & Ruth Morello, Grant Lero’s (Owner) grandparents, were married 57 years. They were selfless people that always made others feel welcomed, known, and loved when in their presence. Louis was a first generation American who proudly served his country in World War II. Louis and Ruth were cotton farmers in the Brazos river bottom. They grew old together while raising their family in their farmhouse filled with joy, faith, and lots of love.

Growing up Grant’s grandparents taught him the importance of hard work, generosity, selflessness, love, faith, and honesty. Louis and Ruth were two of the most loving people he has ever known. Louis was always generous to Grant making sure to spoil his grandson and also taught him how to drive a tractor. Grant loved spending time in the cotton fields, checking cows, and spending time under the large pecan trees in front of their home. The time Grant spent growing up in the farmhouse molded and shaped him into the man that he is today. He remembers Ruth spending hours praying in their home and praying over their grandchildren before bed. Grant's grandparents taught him many important life lessons including stewarding the land well and the even greater priority of serving others.

Grant Lero hopes that he can help you build a home like the Morello farmhouse; a home that will help grow your family as you gather together.
